A Ballad of Human Progress

(I)

There's an old country road that leads to a river
An old wooden fence that surrounds all the sinners
Who stand by their graves, wonderin' what they done wrong

(II.)

There's a train whistle blowin' across a fiery desert
In search for the new land
They're treacherous weather is headed for the mountain
To preach a brand new way

(III.)

And it's full of politicians, bankers and lawyers
A fast talkin' man, been armed to destroy us
And keep us from the truth. Consume, consume, consume

(Chorus)

Lies. Lies, don't believe them. Don't believe them.

(IV.)

And westward they head, ravaging the villages
They burn all the dead. There world is for the privileged
And you're not one of them, you're just a number

(V.)

So they came up with races, borders and fences
And job occupations, and classifications
There aim is to conquer. Divide, divide, divide.

(Chorus)

(VI.)

We're just one race, one color, one number
We're just one man, one father, one mother
We must unite, before they take our lives

Swimming Through a Dream

(I.)

Swimming through a dream of the unconscious mind
Float down the stream through the illusions of time
Sailing high in the blues of Vincents sky
And the Inigo's of our endless summer nights

(II.)

Unmask your eyes. Unshackle your burdens of time
Release you spirit to it's light
Remember the roads without street signs

(III.)

Let the artists paint and the beggars beg
Let the arms be arms and the legs be legs
Let the sun shine down and the trees stand up
Let the fire burn bright and turn to dust
Let the old be old and the young be young
Let the morning birds sing and the humming birds hum
Let us die and be reborn. May we live but never mourn
Let us breath let us pray. Let us leave but return one day
Let us be let us free. I am you and you are me
